What is mantra?
The word mantra can be broken down into two parts: "man," which means mind, and "tra," which means transport or vehicle. In other words, a mantra is an instrument of the mind - a powerful sound or vibration.
Goddess Lakshmi

Lakshmi is the divine power that transforms dreams into reality. Lakshmi (in Sanskrit: लक्ष्मी), also known as Shri (in Sanskrit: श्री) - is one of the principal goddesses in Hinduism. She is the goddess of wealth, fortune, power, beauty, fertility and prosperity.
MAHALAKSHMI & LAKSHMI
Mahalakshmi is the Supreme Mother Goddess.
Goddess Lakshmi is a manifestation of Mahalakshmi.

But today both forms mean the same for majority of the people.

As per some school of teachings, there is a difference between Lakshmi and Mahalakshmi.

The form of Mahalakshmi is impossible to imagine or comprehend.
To help devotees, worship and offer prayers, Mahalakshmi took the form of Goddess Lakshmi.

Tara, whose name means "star" or "she who ferries across," is a Bodhisattva of compassion. In Tibetan, Tara is known as "Dölma" (Sgrol-ma), or "She Who Saves."
